first two pieces in my new art project of taking awkward/bad ID photos. both of these were taken on less than 4 hours of sleep, which is an easy way to look awkward/bad in photos. i am attempting not to smile in both, but only really pulled it off in my state ID. the idea of how bad the photo would be made me smirk in my student ID photo. the best part of the project is that both times the person taking my ID photo was a man and they both turned the screen to me to inspect my own face, “do you want to see it before i print it?” i guess they expect me to want a new photo? do people take multiple ID photos before deciding on one that looks good? maybe that will be my next project.
